Christchurch BID

Christchurch BID Steering Group is pleased to announce that the development phase of a Business Improvement District (BID) for Christchurch town centre is now underway. We feel this step forward for the town could have significant positive benefits for businesses and create a new way of providing support at a crucial time for the High Street.

A BID is a business-led and business-funded body formed to improve a specific commercial area, in this case Christchurch town centre. Most are governed by a board made up of businesses who represent the BID area, which means that businesses and organisations have a genuine voice and decide and direct what they want for the town.

With the Covid 19 pandemic affecting all of us in ways that we could not have imagined, the Charity will be using the funds it has available to assist those organisations in the Christchurch area that help the local community.

We invite applications for funds from not-for-profit groups and organisations including registered charities, community interest groups, service organisations, volunteer groups, youth groups, local town and parish councils and the like. Applications from individuals or for individual benefit will not be accepted.

Christchurch Online

I’m Zelda; I created the Christchurch Online brand back in April 2020, amidst lockdown when I noticed people online struggling to find food options outside the major supermarkets as well as opening hours for banks, post offices and takeaways.

So I decided to create an online digital hub that had all the information someone in Christchurch could possibly need, while helping to promote the local hard working family run businesses open and delivering during that time. ?❤️

Since then, Christchurch Online has become a local independent-supporting community. So come join us!
